MalCui – Pahang “Cheong Ko” Hakka Mee now at every where in KL

Have you try this noodles before in Pahang??

History: I start tasted this “Cheong Ko” Hakka Mee when I went back my mother home town; Pahang since many years back until now.

This “Cheong Ko” Hakka Mee start migrating from origin Pahang down to K/L, for my mum is good news because she can recall the feeling of missing hometown.

Nothing change much from the origin, simple home made noodles with chicken soup (as sources) and mince pork meat. This serving come with 1 bowl of chicken soup with home made fish ball or pork ball (non-home made).

(Home made fish ball - must try)
What my stomach said:
Well, I’m not keen to this….but my mum used to taste good..perhaps she recall a lot of past when she bites each time….(I guess you all know what I mean)

(Pork meat ball - can be put a-side)
Simple combinations which taste an origin of home made noodles with the chicken soup…simple but is nice to try for first time.
How to eat:
How to eat?? Mix the home made chili sauces with noodles….or just plain….both you will find different excitement.

People often said Petaling Street have 2 famous Beef noodles stalls; I believe you all agree…well I happen to drop by 1 of the stalls to taste. I only manage to take the noodles scene as the heavy rain was block my phone camera talking a clear picture (using N70) for the stall appearances (guess should upgrade to SonyEricsson K800 with 3.2 pixel camera).

Listen to my mum and dad, they advice to taste a great beef noodle try to order the dry noodles with soup separate, don’t forget to order the beef organs and meatball as your soup ingredient.

The topping for dry noodle is mince beef meat, and the beef meatball is often handmade…this often let you taste the chef kung fu.

MalCui Pudu Wai Sek Kai I – What is this? Local Cawanmushi???

Local Cawanmushi at Pudu Wai Sek Kai???

Some where near by the pudu selera makan (in Cantonese), you will find a cuisine paradise there….but don’t expect to be 1 star clean environment (you know what I mean).

I able to take 1 scene snap shot with my N70, still early around 7pm, not that crowded..but you will be amaze after 9pm..always full house.

MalCui – Chicken Hot Pot

Eating chicken can be never boring any more?!

First, I would like to apologize before letting you all continue reading this blog, as I LUPA take the restaurant front picture.

Further more, I have accidentally deleted a very precious picture – Amber Chia is sitting next by my side while I enjoying my meal….Sigh so careless….(the picture show unclear - Amber Chia)

Well, I manage to capture few scene shot of the restaurant…not pretty much impressed by the ambiance.

You will be amaze that Chicken Hot Pot is a chain restaurant in China and Malaysia consider a new step for them. Those pictures show their outlet in China.

But just thinking in my mind what have make this restaurant so unique that attract Amber Chia to give a try….
(You will be amaze by the dine in people walk in one by one)

Introduce this Chicken Hot Pot – its similar with Nando’s Chicken Concept which have 3 option for customer to choose from non spicy, mid spicy and hot spicy, for those spicy lover…you may found your mate beside Nando’s.
(This is Chicken Hot Pot - recommended to try)

With similar herbs and spices, they provide beef, pork ribs and fish head varieties….but unfortunate I cant take all at once, thus I only order their main Chicken Hot Pot with mid spicy and beef with mid spicy.
(This is Beef Hot Pot - ok for me)

What my stomach said:
When serving you can see the meat sizzling inside the Hot Pot, the waiter light up candle at the bottom pot to maintain the sizzling sound and maintain the heat, is similar like we having steamboat.

How to eat:
This was the main concern that have come to my thought, while serving in hot sizzling pot, the sources will erupt and make the meat and vegetables more sticky with the sources, it’s very nice serving with rice but beware of its hot.

The amazing part is they allow you to add soup with 2 choices – plain soup (with chicken extract) and spicy soup, now the pot is full or half full with the soup, let the pot boil for a while….now you can either add in side order vegetable that you prefer. It's become steamboat with thick sources….is totally different taste from the beginning and at the end….is a new experience that I never ever taste before.

Little history of this Chicken Hot Pot:
They claim this Chicken Hot Pot is invent by a western cuisine master – Simon Blaze when he is travel to Szechwan in China, and later partnership with 2 people JR & Leo to modified the spicy and herbs combination.

Location:
21, jln kuchai maju 8, off jln kuchai lama, tmn entrepreneurs park, tel: 03-7980 6008.
(The new phase of office and shop lot Combination Park)

A little speech from my heart:
Is a good try for something new and for spicy lover…but not much variety to choose, the price is reasonable.

MalCui – Halo Café in Tmn Connaught

MalCui – Halo Café in Tmn Connaught “ Should I introduce this place for you?? "

Never heard before this Halo Café located just in front of USCI or Taman Connaught??

Well nothing special to share about this Café as I happened to meet a friend and we decide to mark this significant place for our meet up.

As I took few scene shot when I arrive a bit early, basically the Halo Café ambiance quite comfortable and immediately make me link with fascinating F & B they provide….
Ha, you will never believe when I decide to take an order while waiting my friend to reach, it seem they don’t provide certain hot beverage like other Halo Café outlet that I like most – tea series, sigh…what a joke! (They claim they are small outlet and not fully provide all the F & B in the menu, do you believe?)

Finally, we can order our main course and the choices seem not pretty much make me feel good about it.

My friend ordered - Tom Yam Meehon. This was something that make me forget my serving and pay attention on this, taste was good (compare with my) and it was spicy enough to burn your mouth.

This is what I ordered – Yam fried rice with fish fillet, I have no comment about this serving, because I can’t find a good words to described it (Guess you all get my meaning)
At last, we didn’t stay long as we expected, we end our meeting when we finish our meal because we can’t find any reason to stay longer.
A little speech from my heart:

Halo Café – a name that most of us know and familiar, it’s famous for live band or singer performance (now you can get many other similar café with Halo Café concept in town).

I can’t foresee any good excuse for me to linger another second time (singer performance doesn’t impressed me) and we simply pay for the high price with the average F & B quality.

I don’t mind paying the premium if the F & B, ambiance and the singer performance is fascinating my mind and my stomach, agree?!

My spending concept is every dollar out of my pocket must have a reason and value of worth.

MalCui – Fish Head Meat Meehon Soup

One of the nice Fish Head Meat Meehon Soup in Cheras Area

I guess this will be a difficult issue for people who stay far from Cheras, this delicious Fish Meat Meehon Soup found in one of the resident area in Cheras – Taman Bukit Anggerik (well I will provide more significant land mark).

I accidentally try this Fish Meat Meehon Soup when my stomach calls for hunger as I on my way to meet a client. While, I was fascinating why people queuing outside the stalls for some reason (around morning)… it takes my curiosity to drop by and give a try. (Its take me 30 minutes for my food to reach my mouth)

This bowl of Fish Meat Meehon some how take me 30 minutes to arrive, and it takes less than 20 minutes to empty.

Combination of this delicious Fish Meat Meehon is simply with deep fried Fish Meat (a lot of torn – children beware), tomatoes, salted vege, ginger, fried onions, and some herbs. The soup has the mixture of condense milk and Chinese wine, and the soup real ingredient I can’t define – perhaps this is called the secret of business.

I have a chance to drop by second time for some reason; it was around 3-4pm in afternoon Saturday. Surprisingly, it takes less then 10 minutes for me to taste the food again…

Beside the Fish Meat Meehon stall, there is stall selling porridge which have a high demand on it, while I cant take another after the delicious Fish Meat Meehon soup have completely fill up my hunger stomach with no room left…..sigh

What my stomach said:

Well, it was such long times I haven’t try Fish Meat Meehon around in neither K/L nor P/J, because it’s simply don’t impress me for a try.

Finally, I guess I have to find myself stuck in this lovely stall for a period of time, please don’t be shock paying RM5 for small bowl (big) and RM7 for big bowl (giant), as I so much regret order big bowl and cause my stomach no room for my dinner.

In cheras, you can find anonymous delicious foods but until now I have not found any that can direct compare to this….if anyone of you can raise there is better Fish Meat Meehon, please feel free for sharing….
